Our 4-week Wheel Throwing Course for Complete Beginners and Improvers, is the perfect way to dive into this creative and rewarding hobby. Over four 2-hour sessions, you'll learn all the fundamentals—from preparing and wedging clay to throwing cylinders and bowls. You’ll also pick up techniques for trimming bases, adding simple textures, and creating beautiful foot rings. In the final week, you’ll get to glaze your creations and bring them to life!
This course is designed for total beginners, so no prior experience is needed—just a love for trying something new! With expert guidance and a relaxed, supportive environment, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to create your own handmade pottery.

This course is situated in a cosy, relaxed studio with a maximum of 2 students per lesson which means you will get plenty of one of one time and will develop new skills at a much deeper level compared to larger classes.
What is included?
Four 2 hour lesson with a tutor with 12+ years of teaching experience. This will include informative demonstrations.
Aprons, tools and materials are included.
Free tea and coffee facilities.
Glazes and firing up to 6 pieces are included in the price.

Your work will be ready to collect from the studio 3-5 weeks time and you will be notified by email to arrange a suitable collection time.

Your purchase secures your place – we cannot reserve places without full payment.
You have 7 days to cancel or change your booking. After this time, no refunds will be offered but bookings can be amended up to 28 days prior to your booking. After this time, no refunds or amendments are permitted.
This is an open style event and not a private booking so you may find there are up to 1 more attendee on the same booking if there are spaces left.
If we cancel or alter the session, a full refund or the option to rearrange will be offered.
Group bookings

Group bookings are for a maximum of 2 participants. Due to space, no more than this will be permitted.
Individual places on a group booking will not be refunded. If a member of your party can no longer attend, it will be up to you to fill this space or pay the ticket of the missing party member.
