One-to-One Bespoke Lessons
Are you a complete beginner or intermediate potter or someone that prefers private tuition? Do you find yourself needing some one-on-one time with an experienced potter in a purpose-built studio rather than signing up to a course? This might be the product for you!
Often as we progress creatively we find ourselves wanting to try new things but don't know where to start. Sometimes we pick up bad habits along the way. It's also common that we can't commit to a course because of fitting it around our busy work or study schedule.
This is where we can work together! I am excited to offer an hourly bookings option at £35 per hour for wheel throwing or hand building lessons, or a combination of both.
How does this work?
Step 1) You purchase the quantity of hours you would like to book. Ensure you complete the booking form as part of the purchase process. Passing your contact details to me is crucial at this point.
Step 2) I will contact you either through email or a telephone call to discuss what you would like to cover in the amount of time you have purchased. At this point I can devise a personal plan/curriculum where needed and guide you on what is achievable in the time allocated.
Step 3) During our contact we will agree upcoming availability which suits you and confirm your first lesson date.
Step 4) When you attend your first lesson, I will share with you the curriculum I have planned for you to check over and agree or change if needed. From there we can agree any remaining dates.
What is included?
Minimum basic throwing/hand building tools required.
Basic apron (you may wish to purchase your own wheel throwing apron if you wish to protect your trousers!)
tea and coffee facilities.
Clay and clear dip glaze is provided. Should you wish to explore glazing techniques we may need to explore a nominal glazing fee.
Cancellation Policy.
This is for participants over 16 years of age. If you wish to book children, please contact me first via email.
Your purchase secures your place – we cannot reserve places without full payment.
You have 6 months to use the hours you have purchased. This period begins at your first lesson.
You have 14 days to cancel or change your first lesson booking. After this time, no refunds will be offered but bookings can be amended up to 28 days prior to your booking. After this time, no refunds or amendments are permitted.
If we cancel or alter the session, a full refund or the option to rearrange will be offered.
If you cancel a booking less than one month before the sessions agreed, the entire booking cost still applies. No refunds will be given.
If repetitive, postponed lessons results in hour(s) unfulfilled after the 6 month deadline, hours of the same amount will be honoured should this be a result of my rearranging. For example, if I rearranged a 2 hour lesson, then a 2 hour lesson can be pushed beyond the original 6 month deadline. Any hours pushed back this way must be used within 28 days. If the repetitive postponed hours are due to you, we cannot offer refunds.
This is a shared studio so you may find there is another potter working quietly and independently in the room sometimes. This additional potter will not be involved or interfere with your private lesson. You will be the sole person receiving tuition.
